Hi All,

My name is Tim and I have always wanted to be a beekeeper. I have never really looked into because it seemed to be a unrealistic dream. I saw a few hives the other day and it rekindled that dream, so here I am. I plan to start next spring, which will allow me time to get my equipment, read more and take a beekeeping class.

Hi Tim and welcome.  Tons of good information here. 

If you think you might like a simple and relatively inexpensive way to try out beekeeping you could look at the Top Bar Hive section to get a feel for that alternative.

Just barely, it has finally cooled down from the high 90's to the low 80's.
