Hi All,

My name is Tim and I have always wanted to be a beekeeper. I have never really looked into because it seemed to be a unrealistic dream. I saw a few hives the other day and it rekindled that dream, so here I am. I plan to start next spring, which will allow me time to get my equipment, read more and take a beekeeping class.

Thanks,
Tim B

Hi Tim and welcome.  Tons of good information here.

If you think you might like a simple and relatively inexpensive way to try out beekeeping you could look at the Top Bar Hive section to get a feel for that alternative.

Welcome to beemaster Tim, hope your staying cool over there.

Just barely, it has finally cooled down from the high 90's to the low 80's.

Thanks everyone for the welcomes....

Welcome to the forum Tim. You should get connected with the MN Hobby Beekeepers Associaction. Check out their websight and take in a meeting. I'm sure there is plenty of experience there to help you out. Here is a link to their websight.  http://mnbeekeepers.com/
