Sparky, I don't own one of these but I've read reports that there have been issues with the elastic losing it's elasticity. From what people have read Pigeon Mountain is quick in responding and satisfying their customers. If you went with the full suit an issue is that there are no zippers in the legs so you can pull the suit on over your boots...to get the price low ya gotta cut corners "somewhere". There may be other issues but most folks seem pleased with the vented beeware from PM.

I just bought two of these full suits so we could work in shorts during the summer but haven't given them much of a test yet. I like the hat style hood more than my ultra breeze hood. I'm not used to a full suit yet and find it difficult to get in and out of but I'd imagine it's about the same as any full suit in that respect. You sure can't beat the price!

I have not seen the Pigeon Mountain suit yet, but I have the ultra breeze jacket and used it this morning and love it much more than my older sweat jackets. You can not beat a vented jacket, any of them in this heat. Well worth the money. Maybe when I am up that way one day, I will stop in their store and check out the jackets.

Well, I'm a newbee and bought a Golden Bee jacket *right* before the imported ventilated jackets and suits started popping up at vendors. Though a higher cost, I've been very well pleased with the jacket. Being as I have never used regular jackets I can't compare the vented jackets with them. All I can say is that when I come in out of the heat and humidity down here in south Alabama and my hair is plastered down with sweat and my t-shirt is wringing wet...I can't imagine how hot a regular one would be!!!!!! I would definitely spring for the PM jacket over a regular material jacket...there's a difference in price but, as Allen said..."Well worth the money." ....heat stroke diffference!!!!

Sorry for posting up late, but yes, I do have the suit and like it much better than any of the other solid suit/jackets that I've had or used.
Pigeon Mtn does a great job of keeping you satisfied as well.

I'll dispute that claim. I placed an order 7/17. Received no confirmation or information from them at all, only a receipt from PayPal. On 8/5 I sent an email asking for status. On 8/6 received a response that they are out of stock and expect delivery in 7-10 days on 8/22 I sent another email asking for update as the 7-10 days had long past. Received a response that they are still on back order and the person that handles it is out. Did offer to send a different style. Needless to say, I'm not a happy camper as they did a poor job communicating and keeping me informed (actually no effort to keep me informed). I understand things go out of stock and issues arise, what I don't appreciate is being left in the dark. I'm sure if I had not reached out to them for status, it would be over 2 months since the order was placed and no contact from them. That is unacceptable. Would be nice to seem if an item is out of stock when ordering, and even if that is not possible, a follow up in a day or two would be acceptable. My season is over now, so I will wait, but if I knew when ordering what I know now, I would have went elsewhere. I'll probably never do business with them again and would recommend others take their business elsewhere as well. I believe MannLake sells the same suits/jackets so is where I would advise people to get it. Rob....

Rob, you are a much more patient gentleman than I. I understand things being backordered, but a lack of communication is inexcusable. I am curious about something...have they charged you for the jacket yet?
It is costly to acquire a customer and even more costly to lose one.

Yes, sucked out of my PayPal account on on 7/17. To be honest, it slipped my mind for a while. At this point I don't have a need for it until next year, so I'll wait and see. I just got a message from them that the order is in route to them, but could not give any more details. I'll give it a couple more weeks and if I don't have it by then request a refund.

Collecting money for something that you don't have on hand to sell and that you're not sure of when you will have...not good business by any stretch of the imagination. You are a much more patient man than I. I deal primarily with two vendors. These are two of the more well known companies. When I started last year I arranged my initial orders to be delivered at beekeeper meetings so as to save shipping (it *really* saved on shipping!). The bulk of these orders were placed well over a month in advance of the meetings. One of the vendors held the orders (I made more than one to each vendor) and did not bill my credit card until they had it loaded and ready to come to Alabama to the meeting. The other vendor, though, billed my credit card at the time they received my orders. Both vendors are good vendors and I've been satisfied with my dealings with both of them. BUT, if I have a choice of ordering an item from one or the other of these companies guess which one I order from. Ed

As Ive learned very recently with a queen order from another vendor, better be careful on PayPal purchases. (if secured with a debit card) If the order isnt filled/received within 45 days of when you placed it, PayPal will do nothing on reclaiming your losses except "log it for future reference regarding the company". Ive not done the exact math on your ordering dates but youre probably getting pretty close to it. As bad as I hate credit cards, looks like Im going to have to get one for insurance against bad companies.

Been looking at these...did you ever get your order? Nope, no response since 8/23. If it wasn't that they seem to be the only one I can find that offers it in a round veil, I would have requested my money back. I'm about to give up though. I would strongly suggest ordering form somewhere else. Rob..
