Real nice sized hive, been there a while. The bees were not gentle nor overly aggressive but I did have to wear the jacket & veil for the duration of the removal. Some of you may recall one I did for this same University in 2009 I titled cinnamon role hive, something to that nature.

Anyway, they are going to tear this building down (an old horse barn) but today they were having some type of event near the barn and the bees had to go. Four hours of travel time on this removal. Got home at 1:00 Am.  grin

JP, just a suggestion you may want to try. I notice you use a longer solid vac ext. then mine, and hold it horizontally. I have been using a 12 in. ext. and holding it vertically. I find I can skim up the comb right next to it without gouging it and the suction being downward, gravity assists in taking them in.

Just a thought you might want to play with.

PS. Nice hive, and another nice job. Yep, I've found a few that told me to don my jacket, too.  shocked   grin
