Ok I have had a great week doing cutouts. 3 in all. today was the wildest. Bees in a 2 story brick chimmey. It was 6 feet down in the 12x12 inch pipe. packed with hoeny from the spring flow.
Now for the Question .
What was the strangest tool you have ever used to do a cutout with.
Mine is I had to use a modified post hole digger and a Hoe to get down to the bottom of the comb. the job took 8 hours becuse of the steep roof and giving my old legs breaks from the position I had to stand in. But we got it done. pretty bees. I could not find the qween. I hope I got her with the vac. I got video of it . the owner is making me a copy. I tried to incorperate my intro vido into it. I'll post it when he gets it to me.
John
P.S the handmade tools I made for the cutouts worked great to all week.
P.S.S. they hole digger and the hoe were purchased new just for this job. and will only be used for future bee jobs.
