Note to self...

Note to self, it's probably not a good idea to get home from the gym all stinky and sweaty at 8 p.m. and try to open a hive up to check my super progress. Garnered several stings from that little stroke of genius including one on my lip. First time for the lip and I must say, it stunk! My bees didn't like my foul odor as much as my kids didn't!

They don't seem to like odor, aftershave, and other unbee smells, and I don't think they like beeing bothered after dark either. The lip, and eye lids do seem to swell better that other places.

Luckily, no swelling at all. I was quite surprised. Just a dumb move.

additional note to self, do not inspect hives while you are hung over, they do not like it one bit,
