Hello from North Texas
«

I've been around beekeeping off and on since I was a little kid. Two uncles had bees and they got my father involved.
I've had my own hives for the last six years. Like Emil down in LaGrange, the heat took it's toll on my apiary. I lost
12 of my 16 hives. But, like most dedicated beeks, I have built my apiary back up. I have purchased eight 3# packages
from BeeWeaver and one from R Weaver and hived two small swarms taken out of water meter boxes to go along with the
four survivor hives. So far everything is going well although I did have to get two replacement queens already that "disappeared"
from two of the packages. Hopefully, they will build up quickly. I'm not expecting to have a honey harvest this year, I'm
just hoping that they all survive what I believe will be another Hot Texas Summer!
Looking forward to learning a few things here....already read some interesting things.

welcome aboard. I to am afraid we will have another long hot and dry summer. Better start buying sugar from Sam's or Cosco.
