communism vs. fascism

been having this discussion with several people (not here) who have been trying to identify this admins policies.  i have long held that they are more fascist than communist, but the fact is, there's not much difference between the two.  they both identify enemies of the "common man" and use those enemies to control economies and properties.

 communists go after the ruling elite in favor of the middle class, but communism depends on having a ruling elite, and destroying the middle class. 

fascists identify internal groups as the enemies of the people and use that as a way to control economies and people.  we know about hitler and the jews, but he also went after the bankers...while taking money and support from them.  they supported him in the hope that he would not crush them....kind of like wall street and obama support.  didn't work out to well......

we know that obama was brought up by, and around, communists.  his grandparents leaned that way, as did his parents.  those his grandparents chose as his mentors were communists.  Davis was one of his main mentors and there is no doubt that he was communist.  obama has surrounded himself with like minded people, some of whom are openly communist.

is it important to find the proper label?  maybe not.  it is important to understand the ideology and consequences.

Statism

The political expression of altruism is collectivism or statism, which holds that man’s life and work belong to the state—to society, to the group, the gang, the race, the nation—and that the state may dispose of him in any way it pleases for the sake of whatever it deems to be its own tribal, collective good.

A statist is a man who believes that some men have the right to force, coerce, enslave, rob, and murder others. To be put into practice, this belief has to be implemented by the political doctrine that the government—the state—has the right to initiate the use of physical force against its citizens. How often force is to be used, against whom, to what extent, for what purpose and for whose benefit, are irrelevant questions. The basic principle and the ultimate results of all statist doctrines are the same: dictatorship and destruction. The rest is only a matter of time.

when obama made it policy to assassinate citizens, a lot of people, conservatives included, bobbed their heads and supported the decision.  after all, killing bad guys is a good thing!  as long as your government doesn't decide you are the bad guy.....

and i would suggest that you don't have to actually kill people to destroy them.  the policies of personal and business destruction are part of statism.

we don't need radar to see heavy seas ahead.  a change of course is called for.

Not to make too much about the difference between Fascism and Communism, but the whole question reminds me of the old un-schooled circuit ridding preacher who was preaching about adultery and fornication.  Some in the congregation became comfused and asked the preacher what the difference was between adultery and fornication.  The old pastor rubbed his chin for a minute and said: "Well sister, I done tried um both and I can't rightly tell no difference."

However if you wish to more closely see whether America's current crop of lefts are Socialists, Communist, or Fascist in nature look up the Nazi party platform and you will discover that one of Hitler's big promises was the break up and nationalization of department stores.  This goes cheek and jowl with today's American left's hatred for Wal-Mart.  At least in this regard today's left are more Fascist than they are Communist in nature.

It just occured to me to ask an older citizen of East Germany what was the difference between Fascism and Communism.  He or she might well parrot the old pastor in the above example.  That may be easy for you to do since I seem to remember that you read German.

any language skills i had are pretty rusty now     it's a use it, or lose it thing.

when the russians and germans were singing their non-agression pact, they agreed that there was not much difference in ideology.  one of the defining points of fascism is nationalism.  we are missing that right now.  fascists historically both demonize and sleep with business and banking.  we do have that.

fascism in italy was not the same as fascism in germany.  communism in russia not the same as communism in china.  all were statists.
