OK, Disco was a little before my time, but I am going to miss Donna Summer and that last dance.

not only did she have a great voice, but by all accounts she was a really nice person.  i don't remember any scandal, drugs, or other crap that we hear about all the time.

disco was not before my time  :-D  i wasn't a great fan or disco, but some of the artists were great.
One could not learn history from architecture any more than one could learn it from books. Statues, inscriptions, memorial stones, the names of streets ? anything that might throw light upon the past had been systematically altered. (1.8.85)

I am to old to say I was raised on Disco.  But I think that the music was better than the Disco scene, which was often over the top.
Let's just say I liked the music better than the hair.  However, I still have my bell bottom blue leasure suite and a silk psychedelic shirt.

Examples of over the top:  Dr Hook - Makin It Natural
these are not Disco
Tunes but you'll get the      Dr Hook & The Medicine Show - Roland, The Roady
idea.

Basically the only scandal was the song "love to love you baby"... but that was a pretty big one.
