OK, Disco was a little before my time, but I am going to miss Donna Summer and that last dance.

not only did she have a great voice, but by all accounts she was a really nice person. i don't remember any scandal, drugs, or other crap that we hear about all the time.
disco was not before my time
i wasn't a great fan or disco, but some of the artists were great.

I am to old to say I was raised on Disco. But I think that the music was better than the Disco scene, which was often over the top.
Let's just say I liked the music better than the hair. However, I still have my bell bottom blue leasure suite and a silk psychedelic shirt.
Examples of over the top:
Dr Hook - Makin It Natural
these are not Disco
Tunes but you'll get the
Dr Hook & The Medicine Show - Roland, The Roady
idea.

Basically the only scandal was the song "love to love you baby"... but that was a pretty big one.
