Hello!  I've decided that if I can keep bees where I am then just about anyone can.  I live in a condo with a backyard maybe 12 feet by 25 in a town of about 100,000.  We're fortunate to have two large lilac bushes about 8 feet apart which makes a great place to locate a top bar hive.  Other places I've lived I've kept some cows and while watching something grow and thrive by eating what is coming up out of the ground is the most Zen-ful thing I've found, bees are a close second.  The family always knows where to look for me in the evenings - sitting out in front of the hive watching the comings and goings.
