2 hives started on 4-5

Hive 1:  Hive had fewer bees but seems well organized and was adding comb quickly.  Added 2nd brood box on 4-24, when 7of8 frames were almost completely drawn with brood, pollen, syrup.  Checked on 5-5 and 4of8 frames in top box were filled, bottom box 6of8 fully filled in the lower.  Lots of new bees hatched, lots of eggs, larva brood.

Hive 2: More bees at the start but slower to start.  2nd brood box added 4-28.  Checked on 5-5 and top box, 4of8 fully drawn, lower box probably 6of8 mostly fully drawn.  Many new bees, eggs, larva, brood, queen actively moving between boxes.

We have had variable weather with record high on 4-25 of 104 deg and now we have a wet cool front (50-75deg) that is expected to last about a week.  I probably will not open the hives to check (except for feeding) for the next week until it warms up.

What should I expect with the cool weather?  What should I look for in a week?  I will be prepared with the 3rd brood boxes, just in case.

Where do you recommend I put the next brood box, top or bottom?  Last time I added to the top, but using FLF now (original box was plastic. FLF in second and the ladies like it)

Any comments appreciated!

5 to 6 of the 8 frames drawn out, then I would add another box.

Yep, I would go ahead and put on the 3rd box, also.

Put a third box, get a honey super ready for when they draw that out.
