What a terrible thing to see the destruction from Katrina throughout the South - God Bless all those people and may their faith and the support of our Nation's emergency services and volunteers aid them during the impossible weeks and months ahead.
I know we have several members in the forum who live in the effected area - I suspect the last thing they will be looking at is this forum, but I hope they know our thoughts and prayers are with them.
I can't put into words what the horrific photos show, and I cannot imagine seeing towns and cities under water with levis burst and entire homes below tidal flow.
I hope all those here who believe in a HIGHER POWER pray for these people in this time of need. May their spirits somehow exceed their sorrows.

I like doing cut-outs, but I love catching swarms!

Thank you all for your support & kind words. Things have obviously been in disarray for my wife & I & the rest of my family. I am at my house now due to a special permit because I am a small business owner. My wife is 75 miles from me, my dogs are 40 miles from me, but we are surviving & we have a home to go back to. I just got internet capability today & wanted to post in, because I feel like I have friends here on the site, even though I haven't met any of you personally. I just wanted to say hello & thank you. Beekeeping is relatively new to me, but very dear to me. I have invested lots of time on my bees & couldn't wait to check on my hives. I lost one due to Katrina. Late yesterday evening they sprayed for mosquitos & it killed some of my bees, but not the majority, so I will do what I can if anything to prevent more losses. Talk with ya'll soon, JP.
