A couple of macro shots from my apiary

I love macro photography, and finally I have got myself a ring blitz which has been on my wish list for some time now. A couple of days ago, I made the first real use of it while doing an inspection. The bees were in a very good mood, and I had a great time making photographies of my dear friends.

Nice pics Eivind. Are you still using a top bar hive?

Nope. I designed my TBH so that I could use regular frames under the bars for easier startupå of the hive. That meant that the bars becahe very large, and the hive became unmanageble. In other words: I chose a bad design. It would have been fun to try again, but the hives here needs insulation, and it was a bit job to make the first, so I doubt I will try again in a while. But it was a fun project, though
