The WNEP station is regularly visited by wildlife it seems.Though it is usually raccoons,skunks and occassional deer. I think they normally give them a wide berth unless they happen to get in the building.
 No honey from me Blubee.  They are on their own for that.

City slickers are so used to seeing ear tags in TV cows that no one noticed that Maw Bear had a tracking devise (one you can track by reading the ear tag number) embedded in her right ear.

All bears are potentially dangerous.  In some important respects Black Bears are more dangerous than a Grizzly.  If bears are not from time to time reminded of their proper place on the food chain, they have the potential to become deadly.

Mama bear has 3-4 cubs every 3 years. she can reproduce like this for 20 or more years leading to a potential extra 30 bears in the environment.  Papa Bear, well he kills and eats 25 of these baby bears.    If he didn't we would soon be up to our belt buckles in hungry bears.  

Give it up for the Papa bear!!!

I noticed the tags. This bear had been relocated a couple times.
