Dangerous?
«
on:

Got called out on this pretty good sized swarm call early last evening.
Bees are 40' in the air where I have no way to get to them, and centered towards the back of a small backyard.
Today and tonight the very nice homeowners, in the same backyard are having big urban
fish fry party with loud music that will be going on all day.
I told them I didn't think the bees would be any problem to their party.
What do you all think?

I like doing cut-outs, but I love catching swarms!

Only dangerous if somebody gets drunk and tries to climb up there to get them. "Hold my beer and watch this....."

If the weather is anything like what we're having today you won't have to worry at all because you won't be outside! Good weather, they'll likely either stay right there another day or leave.

got one like that today. guy wanted me to come dig the bees out of the tree because he's having a kids party tomorrow. never mind that i am in CA....
he had called a bunch of people and we'd all told him the same thing...but i recommended that if he had to have the party in that yard, he could screen the hive after dark and remove the screen after the party or that night. he didn't seem enthusiastic about doing it.
