Can't find thread listing so I can unsubscribe from it.

I'm having problem unsubscribing from the thread linked below.  When someone posts to it it shows up in the "Show new replies to your posts." list.  But, when I go to the Profile/Notifications and Email and pull up the "Current Topic Notifications" list of threads it is not there to unsubscribe from...?  Is there a subscription tab that I'm missing?

Hi Ed, You should be able to go to the thread and click on the notify link at the bottom. If you are indeed set to receive notifications, clicking notify again will disable them.

But that brings up the "Are you sure you wish to enable notifications?" window.  ??

That would generally mean you're not subscribed to it  Maybe enable notifications and then disable it again?

"Show new replies to your posts"  is not a notification, it is exactly what is says.   Notifications can be set to e-mail you when a response is added to a thread you are following.   Most folks have notification set by default to any thread they create or comment on.   In this case, you can "unsubscribe" from notifications,  but the replies will still show in "show new replies to your posts".

Ok, the forum software is a little different from what I'm accustomed to. 

Basically, either I accept all notifications of new replies to all threads I've posted to or either I opt for no notifications of new replies to all threads that I've posted to...have I got that right?  It's either all or none?

I'm definitely still a bit confused on this, but no biggie.

No,  you can opt out or opt in for notifications on a post by post basis as ShaneJ mentioned above.   Notifications mean you will get an email.  That email can be configured to be just a notification that an update has been made,  or can actually contain the content of the update.  Notifications have no correlation with "show recent replies to your posts".

I assume you are not getting an email notification when someone posts to the "Beekeeping Test" topic?  This means you are not subscribed for notifications.   But if you have made a post on that topic, it will still show up in "show recent replies to your posts".

Not to make things more confusing,  but if you do subscribe to a given topic for notification,  it will only send you one notification  until you visit the topic, which will reset the notification.  In other words,  if you look at the thread before going to work,  and 15 people comment on the post while you are at work, only the first comment will cause an email notification to you.

Ok, here is the situation.  I posted to the thread in question sometime back.  Since then I'm really not very interested in following it.  When I use the "Show new replies to your posts." link the thread is listed if new posts have been made.  The only way to remove it from the list is to actually click on the thread link so the link is marked "read".  So there's no way to remove just it from the list?  It seems on other forum software that the subscription feature is used to handle new messages to threads that you wish to follow.  I think that is where my confusion is coming from.   ...and I feel like I'm not be very explanatory at all in what I'm trying to state.    The situation is definitely not a game stopper.
