Good Karma

I was reading a piece about electric cars that are coming to market in 2012. One of them is the Fisker Karma. What does this remind you of?
The styling looks to me like a hybrid between a Corvette, an Oldsmobile Aurora, and a Fish. To each his own though.
What do you think?

I don't like the looks of that car. It looks like a fancy Vega.

Reminds me of the waste of my tax dollars, yet they still want me to pay more. We need spending cuts, not tax hikes.

From Robos Forbes link “electric vehicle makers want to pretend that the electricity to charge the car comes from magic sparkle ponies sprinkling pixie dust rather than burning fossil fuels.”
Don’t know about the East coast and West coast, but Detroit knows full well where electricity comes from. They know of all the carnot cycle losses making electricity from heat (coal, natural gas) since those are the same heat losses Detroit has been fighting in their IC engines for the past 110 years. Detroit never wanted to go electric! It’s the celebs, politicians, and CARB that believe in pixie dust!
I believe these Fisker guys are building these things in an old GM facility in Delaware. I don’t agree with subsidizing this “green” technology either, but at least they are employing some Americans with our money. As bad of a bet as electric cars are, they are at least a 100x smarter bet than solar cells!
Congress needs to attach some claw back clauses to these loans to claw back the moeny from the execs bank accounts when they go Chapter 11.

My first thought? Austin Powers. James Bond. A character from the "Cars" movie -- I mean, look at that mouth, it should be saying something!

Have the Super-Rich Seceded from the United States?
"magic sparkle ponies sprinkling pixie dust"...some folks have been snorting that stuff for years...just look at the house and senate...the oval office didn't inhale.
I must have a fever today or something...

Can good Karma go bad?
You may have already seen the report of a Karma allegedly catching fire and burning down a guys home in Texas.
http://autos.yahoo.com/blogs/motoramic/fisker-karma-owner-blames-house-fire-car-offended-204708241.html
I hate to say it, but this thing sure like look another Solyndra to me. Apparently we loaned them $528 million via a credit line in 2009. Fortunately it looks like somebody in Washington had enough sense to freeze the credit line before they had drawn out the full amount. Looks like we’re out $193 million if this things flops
The Karma is built in Finland with our tax dollars to boot
Maybe we need to get Finski to put down his bees this summer and go fix Karma
