Hello everyone, just starting out with reading and learning. Hoping to start up either this or next year here near Cooperstown NY and trying to find closer places to purchase bees.

Welcome to the site. There is plenty info here, you can also check to see if there is a local bee club in your area. There are beekeepers I think here from NY state. You will find people here from all over the world. Good luck, and maybe you can find some bees close by. Also you can ask a question and people here will help.

Hi Matthew,
I'm new here too, from Niskayuna NY, near Albany.
Google Johnston's Honeybee Farm for bee's local to you. I'm buying bee's from him this spring and I used one of his queens to re-queen one of my hives this past summer.
