Hey all! I live in the Gainesville area of N. GA. I do not have bees yet. I am on a fact finding, learning quest. That's what I do before I go out and get a new critter. I started with chickens. Months of reading and lurking on homesteadingtoday.com and reading and surfing. Then, on to goats. Months of reading and lurking and reading and surfing. Now it's time for  bees. One of the folks at homsteadingtoday.com said this is a fine place to lurk and read and surf to soak up info about bees.

So I probably wont have anything to say, because I don't know nothin', but thanks in advance for all the good info!

Welcome to the site.  There is a lot of stuff to read and learn from here.  Also check  there is probably a bee club near you where you can pick up knowledge and maybe some bees and hives.
