Honey Jars Online?

Hey guys, does anyone have any good places to get glass jars cheap for honey from my hard working girls?

Tried ebay but not much on there. Thoughts?

If you're not selling it, your old Aunt Doris probably has cupboards and cupboards of jam jars she'd love to give you for the cost of a cuppa and a chat.  If you are selling, bee gear suppliers can sell jars.  Have you considered plastic?  If you just want to store the honey, then a food quality 20 L container with a honey gate does the trick.  If you still have too much honey, you could try this:  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Container_ship

Hey Lone, this year I'm just looking at getting some little sample jars to give to friends, and probably a perfect idea for our storage to ask the Aunt! Looks like I'll get 3-4 full frames of honey in my first year so can't be too dissappointed with that.
 I have the food grade bucket with honey gate so maybe store in there like you said and look around for some old jars for us. Run a sanitizer through them and all good I'm gathering.....

I wouldn't know.  I run a charity organisation for homeless bees called Poorbee.  They get shelter, gibbers to feed on, have to put their sharps away...but they certainly don't pay rent!

I use Plasdene for my sauce bottles, planning on getting the honey jars and bottles from them as well.

There is also Cospak, they sell a similar range to Plasdene.

Hi Ozbuz,

I would  like  to go to smaller  glass jars,  (only around 200-300ml) but only run a few hives,  so am happy to buy a carton,  but not a pallet.  Same with cut comb plastic boxes.

If you have some recommendations for suppliers I would  appreciate  it.

I have been collecting jars from friends and family, clean a heap of them in one go, then run through the dishwasher to sanitise them.
My plan is to keep the old jars and reuse them, but buy some new lids.

As Lord Viykor said , checkout Cospak and Plasdene. I went to one of them (can't remember which one though) and the jars were about $1 each and you need to buy a massive box ie 1200 jars, but the lids were cheap at around 15c and they said there was no minimum buy
Hence my plan to reuse the glass but buy new lids.
