The Dollar Losing Value "Effects"
« on: November 27, 2011, 09:48:46 PM »
Check out this video, its a long one, i think about half hour or so.  At the end he is selling something but he makes good points and Ive seen other opinions that similar to this.  It is safe, they are also advertising on TV too.  But I think you will find it interesting.  But of course Ive already invested in gold and silver a year ago.

i have seen parts of it.  he's right.  if the dollar is dumped as reserve currency we are in for a rude re-adjustment.  any of us who have invested for retirement in things other than gold and tangibles will be SOL.  inflation will be killer.  there's been a push by other countries to have this happen.  if they can ever agree on a new currency, or a bunch of them as replacement, it will happen.
i think the only reason it has not yet is that we import so much.  if they can figure out a way to dump the dollar and not hurt their trade, we are finished.
.....The greatest changes occur in their country without their cooperation. They are not even aware of precisely what has taken place. They suspect it; they have heard of the event by chance. More than that, they are unconcerned with the fortunes of their village, the safety of their streets, the fate of their church and its vestry. They think that such things have nothing to do with them, that they belong to a powerful stranger called the government. They enjoy these goods as tenants, without a sense of ownership, and never give a thought to how they might be improved.....

Fed says we’re deflating, not inflating.  The Fed WANTS to inflate the dollar, yet even after printing trillions of new dollars out of thin air, it’s still not inflating.  Look at the yields on Treasuries.  Since it hasn’t inflated at this point, it seems a little illogical to think all of a sudden the dollar is going to inflate.

Is the price of housing going up or down?
Is the price of consumer goods and electronics going up or down?
Is the price of labor going up or down (for the 99%ers)?
Is productivity going up or down?
Is Japan buying dollars to keep the yen artificially low?
Is China manipulating the yuan to keep exports up?
Are they digging up new gold everyday?
Can you eat gold?
