Hello From Georgia
«

Hi all,
I grew up with my dad having hives, but this is my first foray into having bees by myself. I live on 5 1/2 acres, in the middle Georgia area, where I have a garden and am slowly adding an orchard. I want bees mostly to promote good pollination and maybe later for honey. I am looking to get the bee's in the spring, if I can ever figure out which hive setup I want. I own a home based business, I have three kids and a very tolerant husband of all my quirks.

Welcome. We have a good number of Georgians on here and I'm pretty where I can say that any of us will be more than glad to be of service. Call on us anytime as you are soon to discover that beekeeping is so addictive that we think everyone should have bees.

Welcome to the site!
Get your husband to help you with the bees. My wife goes out with me when I inspect my hives. She's really good at spotting the queen.
