I hope you handle the approaching winter better than me.
Seems boredom will be intense this year. Even this forum seems slow at this point.
I'm already wishing for spring.

I'm trying to get my bee barn finished so that I have a place to work on assembling and repairing stuff during the winter months. Pam doesn't like it when I try to do that in the living room. She complains about the smell of pine. I try to call it Redneck Air Freshner, but she isn't buying it....LOL

Thank you GLOCK. I am thinking of a winter project. Something like "Hot Babe Beekeepers". Perhaps some posters, maybe calendars. I figure with all the old guys in beekeeping, maybe I could sell a good number of something like this. BTW....If...and that is a subjective big "IF", you think you got what it takes, are at least a 9, and are not afraid of the camera, send a few pics my way. I'll start filtering through them when I get some time alone. And no...I don't consider a topless iddee something I want to see. (female beeks only need apply) I told you this is going to be a long winter.

You see, it's this type of response to some simple humor that will get us through some hard times in winter. A simple jest of a pin-up calendar, and some quick responses from the (what I can only suggest as the) "NOW" crowd....and walla! Instant entertainment. I'm thinking to keep it fair to all female beekeepers, I should select pictures for the calendar based on real life matching up of the pictures to actual beehive queen bees. You know...like: Queen of the Month: Could go either way here. Open this category to both hot mammas, and perhaps the dressed up male. (Don't want to discriminate) Un-mated queen of the month: Open to all the femi-nazi types who hate men and would never imagine themselves being with a drone. Drone laying queen of the month: For the older ladies past their good years. Two queen hives of the month: Hey...nothing wrong with a few pictures of two queens at a time. Twin sisters, mother-daughter, or just two queens from unknown origins. Queens who love ink: For the "painted" ladies out there. Show us your colors. Caged Queens: For the S and M types. Open category only your imagination can decide. Other categories being considered: Balled queens Queen who can't fly Virgins queens bees on the prowl Queens with attitudes Wanna-bee queens (Laying worker types) We could include pictures of male beekeepers under the category of "Drones" but I think it would just be a bunch of do-nothing lazy slobs, and drinking beer types. But then I thought...this is why we need the calendar to begin with!

The very reason those old guys will want to buy the calendars is why you won't have many models volunteer. You'd have better luck convincing iddee to pose topless.

Models.... I haven't seen a "model" female beekeeper yet! Haven't you seen what you can do with photoshop and other picture enhancement programs out there? I even bet I could take that photo of iddee, and have it redone that you would be drooling at the mouth over. Heck, down south, slap some lipstick on iddee, and the calendars would sell enyways. I know, I know...I'm going to h...!

I don't see how this thread is being "dis-tasteful" ?? Good night it is all in fun and nothing nasty as I can see. This thread has two things going against it. 1) Started by BjornBee 2) People like to complain based on #1. Which just goes to show....there really are a bunch of bored beekeepers out there. What a tough crowd. Only person I could see who had a complaint was iddee. This will truly be along winter indeed! Sorry to all those who felt this thread worthy of complaining over. I really hope you do stay around. Without you....I don't get my satisfaction. I hope nobody was injured too badly. Don't blame Ken. He is just trying to keep everyone happy. Impossible to do...but a worthy effort just the same.
