That was very cool Schawee. Thanks for posting. Did you put them back into the same box as the first time?

How do you feel about holding a queen catcher with your lips???

Great job schawee.
I saw that done once in a swarm demonstration at our local bee clubs fun day before I ever had bees and was memorized. It sealed the deal for me for wanting to become a beekeeper and will be a memory I keep forever. Your video brought back cool memories. Reckon I'll have to try it on a swarm myself sometime when I have an audience of kids watching.
Thanks for the post. .....Don

Schawee, was there some virgin queens in that swarm they may have wanted to leave with? Or possibly multiple queens?

They may have found a new location when Schawee put them in that nuc but they just couldn't get the queen to follow. Jim

Nice video Schawee!
Just moving handfuls of bees you can feel the heat, I can only imagine the warmth from the whole swarm on your hand.
Nice job, and thanks for sharing it with us!

I've got to try that sometime. I've not gotten good at finding the queen in swarms or cut outs but I keep trying. As soon as I do I'll try this. Thanks for the video!
