Thats a he11 of an eye opener.  Especially comeing from a retired general who's seen it all.  I never thought of the hate crime angle before but theres no denying that it all fits together.  I never would have given that much credit to a bunch of liberal ding a lings but there's just too much coincidence in all that is mentioned.

You don't have a government anymore. You have two parties who serve big MULTINATIONAL corporations. If it makes sense for their business to go oversea and leave crap behind, they will do it in a heartbeat.
Nothing patriotic about it, just business as usual.

Let's see an example:

1. Company A closes shop in the states, moves to China for main manufacturing (cheap labor costs, less environmental laws, etc).
2. Sad workers join tea baggers, who ask for tax breaks for said companies, no healthcare, education cuts, etc.
3. Company A gets rewarded by a nice tax break.
4.



What do you think of laid off workers ? Are they also stupid and lazy because they have no jobs anymore ?

I don't like a nanny state nor big centralized governments. But I think it is pure folly to trust big corporations instead.

Asia is not rising on the backs of anyone but other Asians.  Asia is rising on its own back by working harder (AND YES FOR LESS) than Americans, Canadians, or almost anyone else works.  China is putting its peoples' backs to work, while here to many of us are content just to sit on our back sides and wait for a green job to materialize.

What are you suggesting?  A first strike nuclear attack on China designed to set them back a few hundred years? Isn't that a little extreme?  
 
Or perhaps you only want to go back to the Gun Boat Diplomacy of the 1930s.  

In that case what is to prevent China from sending a destroyer or three into the Inside Passage to protect the Chinese restaurants in Vancouver?

Sticking our heads in the sand or pretending it is all a right wing plot cooked up by the likes of Rush Limbaugh or Dick Chaney is as crazy.... no wait, it is crazier than what that general said.  

If we want to keep ahead of Asia (China) little less keep up with them we best be bowing up our backs and get to work. Chinese workers don’t sit on their back sides, they do however bow up their backs and get the job done.  If you are an employer and you are faced with these two work forces, which would you chose to work for you?
