Medium Boxes

There are books and books on deep hives.
Are there and books or reliable web sites on managing Medium Boxes? I decided to use 3 medium boxes instead of two deeps because of the weight. I was lucky this year with the way I rotated the two bottom boxes as the girls had plenty of stores at the end of the winter. I would like to be better informed this year because the colony has grown and I do not know if a second rotation (3rd to bottom) is needed or detrimental to the colony. Other meds in our club have been guessing and so far we have been lucky but all of us are looking for help.

I wouldn't think it would matter as long as you don't rotate just before a cold spell. In my opinion, tho, 99% of the rotations only serve to upset the hive and set them back a week while they rearrange their home the way they want it.
