Had a look see at a pkg installed 2 wks ago, progress very good, well behaved.. Did no brushing or manipulating bees.. Closed the hive. my son said don't move and pointed to the ground, big fat queen walking around in the grass, she must have dropped or jumped off a frame, she crawled on my finger, dropped her back in the hive, this is the only colony at this location..Just had never seen this before, might explain some queenless hives..have a good day..dl
