New Beekeeper from Missouri!
«

Greetings from Missouri! After over a year of researching, reading, and learning about beekeeping (including visiting this forum a
lot
), we finally got our first hive this spring and installed a package of bees on April 30th. It has been an amazing venture so far, and I am thoroughly enjoying it! And I am looking forward to continuing to glean knowledge and wisdom from all of you seasoned beekeepers. =)

Hurray for that!
I'm a strong believer in doing research for an entire year! I did that before I got my border collie, and I know if I were allowed to have a beehive in my neighborhood I would have done the EXACT SAME THING! Taken a year to get all the stuff ready. I bet you and your husband will be awesome future beekeepers! Looking forward to hearing about your new adventure!

Thank you all for the welcome!
Shane . . . I am beginning to realize that reading about beekeeping and having practical experience are two very different things! =)
Serena . . . thanks for the encouragement! And I’m actually doing beekeeping with my Dad. It’s been a lot of fun to do together so far!
