Has anyone used the Owens bee vac from Brushy Mountain? It so, what is your opinion of it? How big is the cage inside? Thanks.

I should add to my post, with the link to my old post, that I have modified the vac and it works. It is not great, but does the job.

Wow! I certainly won't waste my money on that thing! I did build a bee-vac last year using a langstroth hive body and a shop vac. It is heavy and very awkward, but it does work. I have two cutouts coming up that are three stories up in the soffets and I will be using a lift truck. No room for my bee vac, so I will just make do. Might be able to put it on the roof. Thanks for the links!

How about getting a really long pool hose to go three stories up?
I know another local bee removal who has a 100 ft hose!!!!!

And where does he bury the bees? I would use a 100 ft. hose between the vac and the catch box, but never as the pickup hose.
