people reject the idea of God and Satan.  when they do that, they can not understand the concepts of good and evil.  everything is relative for them.  Marx was one of the most evil influences in history.  it is easy for me to accept that he was a Satanist.  Hitler is another good example.  he, and those he surrounded himself with, were into the Occult.  out of their beliefs came great evil.  countries like the USSR and China have done their best to remove God from society. they perpetrated great evil on their own people.
however....it is also possible for people to take religious teachings and twist them into evil.  plenty of examples of that though out history.  you have to wonder what power really influences those people.   how much is "human nature"?

"Nay, it [this constitution of government] must perish, if there be not that vital spirit in the people, which alone can nourish, sustain, and direct all its movements. It is in vain, that statesmen shall form plans of government, in which the beauty and harmony of a republic shall be embodied in visible order, shall be built up on solid substructions, and adorned by every useful ornament, if the inhabitants suffer the silent power of time to dilapidate its walls, or crumble its massy supporters into dust; if the assaults from without are never resisted, and the rottenness and mining from within are never guarded against. Who can preserve the rights and liberties of the people, when they shall be abandoned by themselves? Who shall keep watch in the temple, when the watchmen sleep at their posts? Who shall call upon the people to redeem their possessions, and revive the republic, when their own hands have deliberately and corruptly surrendered them to the oppressor, and have built the prisons, or dug the graves of their own friends?

– Justice Joseph Story, "Commentaries on the Constitution of the United States," Volume II, Chapter XIII: Mode of Passing Laws, Sections 900-901, pp. 364 (1833)

They say they reject but they do not believe it in their hearts, or let's say their minds because they have no hearts really.

Notice Marx was the most known atheist in human history! not only he recognized God but he also recognized Heaven and Hellfire!

Vanity, that's why they do so!

vanity...arrogance....

every society in history has had it's god(s).  we are the ones who have become so arrogant that we think we do not need one.
