Did yall catch qaddafis comments? Basically paraphrasing he said "all white countries are the enemy and they need to join against the white countries to fight".
Wasn't it less than 6 years ago he gave up his pursuit of WMD and wanted to work with the US and was basically scared of the US. Seems to me he no longer has to fear the US, I wonder why that is?

"Nay, it [this constitution of government] must perish, if there be not that vital spirit in the people, which alone can nourish, sustain, and direct all its movements. It is in vain, that statesmen shall form plans of government, in which the beauty and harmony of a republic shall be embodied in visible order, shall be built up on solid substructions, and adorned by every useful ornament, if the inhabitants suffer the silent power of time to dilapidate its walls, or crumble its massy supporters into dust; if the assaults from without are never resisted, and the rottenness and mining from within are never guarded against. Who can preserve the rights and liberties of the people, when they shall be abandoned by themselves? Who shall keep watch in the temple, when the watchmen sleep at their posts? Who shall call upon the people to redeem their possessions, and revive the republic, when their own hands have deliberately and corruptly surrendered them to the oppressor, and have built the prisons, or dug the graves of their own friends?
– Justice Joseph Story, "Commentaries on the Constitution of the United States," Volume II, Chapter XIII: Mode of Passing Laws, Sections 900-901, pp. 364 (1833)

Qaddafi gotta be getting some age on him. He has ruled there for a while now. Maybe he's loosing it in the head with the old age setting in. Just can't remember which way he wants to go.

Thanks to presidential term limits we didn't have to deal with the effects of a president with advanced Alhiemer's, can't say that's true of Lybia.

He's always had a few screws loose - narcissism and megalomania have been evident for a long time, and the fact that people really were out to get him doesn't discourage paranoia. Now that people are tearing down monuments to his 'green book' ideology, he is getting rather angry.

My personal favorite laugh of the day was his comment that non-Libyan rabble-rousers are making the protesters march by putting hallucinogenic drugs in the instant coffee and milk, which turns them into zombies and makes them march out in the streets against their will. That just tickled me for some reason--zombie attack in Tripoli! BRAAAAIIIINS!
