Hello from Arkansas

I am new to the idea of possibly becoming a bee keeper. Bees and I have always gotten along well.
Anyway, I do have one question about raising bees that I really need a straight answer on. I am color blind, to the point I have not been able to buy my own clothes for over 20 years now. I still see colors, but not the colors everyone else sees.
So my question is, how much is correct color perception required for determining the health of the hive, or what ails it?

Welcome to the forum and with colors, I don't believe that will be a problem at all.

Colors shouldn't be a problem.
If you're just starting, check out the tutorials on the main Beemaster page.
I also recommend getting involved with a local club. Clubs are great places to find mentors and get connected to the local beekeeping community:

Thanks for the welcome and info. I'll see about contacting the local bee keepers right away.
