Made some today - and of course I tweaked it (Can't help it) I deleted 1/4C of brown sugar and added 1/4 C of honey (a bee-keeping privilege for which I'm truly grateful) Then I used almonds instead of walnuts (wife hates walnuts

.) added about 3/4C of raisins, about 1/8 - 1/4 t chili powder (a tiny dash of something out of place plays off of the other spices - like pinches of cinnamon in bbq recipes - try it - if it turns out great it makes a 'secret recipe' a conundrum for experienced tasters ) 1T cinnamon, 1/2t. nutmeg, & 1t. powdered ginger. I think if I do it again I'll use a cookie sheet for less time and a more uniform toasting - I crumbled mine right out of the oven (coulda left it for bars, but I was already thinking breakfast cereal.)
