The bees are going to get jealous.... I've always been a freshwater aquarium guy, never really interested in saltwater. My wife finally convinced me to set up a little saltwater tank with some seahorses for her...and boy is she regretting that!! Three months later and we finally got our new horses....and she's complaining about all the mooning I do at that stupid box of water!! As addicting as beekeeping is, coral has sucked me in deeper than any other hobby, at least for now...the winter has flown by with barely a thought of bees!! Petey Phebe Olive/r Petey Green Star Polyps Watermelon Zoanthids Spaghetti Leather Kenya Tree Palys Orange ricordia mushroom Blue xenia That last one I had to have a word with....

Nice pictures!
I've had several fresh water set ups but never a salt water one, although I have always wanted one.

That addiction just may be more costly than the bees.

Killer pics scads! I've had a 70gal salt aquarium for some 30 yrs now. I gave up on buying the high dollar stuff to stock it with and just go with what we catch right here. We'll drag a small seine for sea horses and small fish of varying kinds and can pick up some really cool little flounder and trumpet fish while shrimping.

A friend of my Dad's had quite a set up many moons ago. One night he lost over three thousand dollars worth of fish, coral, anemones. Can't imagine what that same loss would set one back today. Scott plays with sea horses. ...JP

So far I'm keeping the cost below beekeeping...but less opportunity to recoup those cost too... And the plans I have for my next tank... I've read a fair amount about aquariums crashing...mostly stupid little user error things, but if an anemone dies and you don't find it...well its all over. There is a local group that trades corals around so if your tank crashes you can get most of the corals back from others free of charge. Local species tank sound great, scott, and I've done some of that too, but bass and bullheads just aren't as cool!!
