Hello from northern WI

Wow, WI is well represented here!
I live on the North Coast. My wife and I have talked about having bees for many years. This year I gave her the promise of bees for Christmas. I read voraciously and ultimately decided to go with the top bar hive. I built 2 hives, basically with scraps from earlier projects. We were lucky enough to find 2 nearby TBH beekeepers, touched base with the local bee group, and pre-ordered 2 packages of bees. Now, if this white stuff eventually melts we can set up our beeyard.
I'm pretty new to forums, and a rank amateur beekeeper. I look forward to capitalizing on the wealth of knowledge available on your forum.

Picobrew, Welcome to beemaster. You are correct, Wisconsin is very well represented here and there is a considerable amount of experience in the Northern part so you should be able to use those experiences to help yourself to prosper in the bee keeping arena.
