Hi from Colorado
11 frame brood box!!!

Here is the question.
Last summer I caught a swarm and I built my own 10 frame box which is 19 7/8 by 16 1/4. What I did was I trimmed each side of each frame and I put 11th frame in there. It turned out pretty well. I was very impressed. Each frame was nice and even, and it looks perfect. About 8-9 frames was pure brood. I know about it being a little heavy to lift but I want to switch all of my other deep boxes to 11 frames in the spring.
Have any of you tried this?

See Micheal Bush's site. The page is narrow frame beekeeping. I'm sure he will be along shortly with a direct link to it.

Here is the question.
Have any of you tried this?
Why?
the frame is 35 mm wide and then we need 5+5 cm extra space against the side walls.
What is the advantage because mostly the box is too tight because of resins of frames
Bees need space to move and ventilate the hive.
