Nothing but Football and a few cold ones for me today. Gamecocks already won over the Gators-the rest of the games are just icing on the cake!

Everyone enjoying the holiday season thus far? I sure enjoy workin' bees catchin' swarms and doing cut outs but its nice to catch a break now and again. Been out in the woods with friends doing a little hunting here and there. Doing a little socializing with family and friends, watching some good football.

Looking forward to the big rematch between our tigers and bama, should be another good one! Our Saints have been coming along quite well as well even though they love to have you at the edge of your seat. They definitely love to tax your ticker!

Hard to believe Christmas is almost here and another year is just about done. How the time flies!

Bud4 in 3 and 1/2 months! Can you believe that? Wow!

Anyway, you guys and gals have a great holiday season and Merry christmas and Happy New Year to all of you!

Hope to see you at Bud4!

Just discovered this thread, I detest coffee so I crack open a dew every morning.

Today I am planning my blanket/quilt making. I am making blanket/quilts to donate too two Childrens hospitals. So I am making a plan of attack so I can get the most fabric for the $ and begging for $ on my facebook so I can buy even more fabric then what my budget allows. My goal is 30 blankets

here are pics of 2 quilts I just made for my 2 youngest kids. For the hospitals they won't be so fancy because of cost but will still be cuddly, soft and made by me :)

Good morning!! So cold out here in MN brrrr!!! I finished another quilt so I am happy about that this one was challenging because of the colors purple and black my sisters, sister in law asked me to make it for her daughter who is in college and wanted the quilt to be in her school colors.

My daughter is 39 weeks pregnant so I am expecting a call anyday anytime, that it is time so every time the phone rings I get all excited LOL.

I had some young chickens in the coop and their feet got frozen so I had to bring them in hopefuly I caught it in time and no one will loose any toes so far no black spots just swollen feet. I am rubbing their feet with lavendar oil and I was thinking of starting them on antibiotics to ward off any infection. But don't know if that is a good idea since they don't have any sign of infection so maybe I will wait.

Good morning all!

Lori, good luck with your chickens, hope their feet thaw out. My wife has gotten obsessed (in a good way  :-D ) with sewing. She's making blankets and pillows, pajamas & all sorts of things. I'm very proud of her!

Hope everyone has made it through the winter well, ours is about over and spring is just around the corner!

Bud4 last weekend of April!

JP.. Its great that your wife is obsessed with sewing!!! I sew everything I was hoping there would be a way to sew bee boxes LOL but NOPE!

If you ever want to get your wife a "sewing" gift and if she doesn't have one already get her a serger/overlock machine....every sewer can use one of those I use mine ALL the time and it makes sewing things like clothese, blankets etc a breeze!!

JP, does your wife sell stuff?
.....The greatest changes occur in their country without their cooperation. They are not even aware of precisely what has taken place. They suspect it; they have heard of the event by chance. More than that, they are unconcerned with the fortunes of their village, the safety of their streets, the fate of their church and its vestry. They think that such things have nothing to do with them, that they belong to a powerful stranger called “the government.” They enjoy these goods as tenants, without a sense of ownership, and never give a thought to how they might be improved.....

Lori, I wish you were closer. I could give you enough cloth to make 30 blankets. My wife has a sewing room with 2 industrial machines, one of which is a serger, and 5 or 6 household machines. She makes most of her clothes and all my shirts. She gives away bags of quilt scraps.

Beautiful... In our younger years, we took in teenage foster children on a 30 day emergency basis until they could be placed in a permanent home. We would have each one, boys and girls, sew a top together and then all of us would quilt it by hand. Then I would bind the border on a commercial machine. It was something special they had made themselves, and could go anywhere they were placed.

Thank you :) I used to do emergency foster care too! We would help them pick out a travel bag and let them pick out a comfort item cuz most came with nothing   :(  I also did exchange students and I always gave them an american cookbook :)

My mom is having open heart surgery this morning to replace a valve with a cow valve(my mom lives in VA with my sister). And my daughter goes to the Dr. this afternoon to discuss jump starting her labor. Nerve racking day today.
