Good to hear Ken...now the healing can begin. He's a strong young lad, he'll be up and around in no time! Until then he'll probably be a real pain in the azz grin

My thoughts are with him...just having shoulder surgery with no rods being driven in last week has nearly done me in. I feel for him.

Good morning all! 22 degrees here when I woke up around 6 am. It's after 10 now and already up to 41.

Howdy folks, we got a rainy one down here in the south today.

Hard to believe yet another year has gone by, they sure seem to fly by now a days.

Gonna chill and watch football and stay dry, sure I'll probably get cabin fever and then tomorrow I'll go to our cabin in the woods with my wife for a New Year's celebration.

Don't get all worked up now, our idea of celebrating is doing a chiminea and going to the movies!  grin

What y'all have planned?

Happy New Year everyone!

Every New Years Eve one of our neighbors hosts a "yule party" where any in the area drag their Christmas trees via four wheeler down the street for a bonfire. The onus of hosting the party passes on from year to year.

It's always a fun time. We let the fire die down to coals and then announce "This is the Jone's (or whomever's) tree" as we all cheer at the spectacle of the tree roaring into flames.

Never a D.U.I. as everyone is within walking (staggering) distance to home.

Sounds like fun Scott.  We are going to spend the evening with some great friends that business had pulled us away from.  They live in a subdivision type neighborhood where they people spend WAY too much money on fireworks.  We will all sit out on the driveway (in our short britches tonight) and enjoy the display without the expense.  Happy New Year.

Had to say my Happy New Year's before the ball dropped, got too sleepy. Hope every body had a safe New Year's, around here the skies were full of fireworks, could hear the bombs going off at midnite to signal the new year had come.

Its officially 2011 folks.

Annette, Dick Clark is still alive but has speech impairment due to a stroke is what Wiki says anyway.  Wink

OK stayed up late and saw him. I watched a Michael Jackson 30th anniversary show that was unbelievable, then watched a Beyonce show that took place in Las Vegas. Got to bed way past 4:00am.

I will probably drag myself around all day now. But heck, its once a year.
