I hope everyone had a great Christmas. I had a good one. Didn't get good mirliton with shrimp but my Mom made a ground meat dressing to die for and I did get to have some of that Flan albeit it was a little off from the last time I had it.

Wanted to make a video of the bees flying today but the weather wouldn't permit it. It rained severely for several hours this morning then the cold front came through and with it extremely high winds, I'd say in the 40 mph range, no kidding!

Temps were a good bit colder than what was forecast as well, got into the mid 40's before dark, now at 42 with an anticipated low of 34 tonight and Monday even colder, a decent bit below freezing.

Weather like this keeps 'em in every time, oh well.

BTW, Irwin, nice video, you nut! Of course I would have been right with you if I had been there.  Wink

Well,
the coffee's done and I'll be heading off to work for a couple hours. At 11 am buzzbeejr(Josh) will be getting surgery to pin one leg bone and plate the other .This is to repair the injury he had two weeks ago. He will be laid up for a while and have to put up with Mom and Dad until he's able to get around on his own. They had casted him as the one bone had not drifted in hopes it may stay intact, but alas that was not to be.We are hoping and praying for a speedy recovery so he can get back to school and at least a normal social life. Talk to ya all later,             Ken

Tell Josh what I told Ian before his knee surgery 3 years ago.

"Try to stay awake during surgery 'cause the nurses take their shirts off". Even had a cute nurse confirm it.

He tried and tried to stay awake for it grin

The surgery went well. After putting the plate on the one bone,it pretty well pulled the other bone in place. But it still required a couple screws and wires to hold until all is healed. A couple weeks in a soft splint and if everything is okay it will be hard casted for a while.
Thanks for all the thoughts and prayers everyone. It is greatly appreciated.
