I will blame JP for this one though.  evil  after sitting here reading over my CWS thread just now, I'm sitting here wanting a zesto shake and they not open.

This morning I saw a buck running up a power line being chased by a chiwawa, followed by a hound of some type, about three hundred yards away.

Not gonna take a 300 yard shot at a deer running dead away from me.

Only was there for a split second then it was gone.

Who would've thought a taco dog would be a better deer chaser than a hound!

Iddee, his wife, her sister and I made deer hamburgers and vacuum sealed 18 bags worth from the donated piebald deer this morning.

I also have two bags full of backstrap. When I told my wife about the hamburger meat she only wanted to know if I was bringing home backstrap as well.  grin

My trip is coming to an end folks and I have one more evening to hunt.

I've had a great time meeting Iddee and his family. They have been gracious hosts and treated me like family.

Iddee and I have developed a real kinship cause of this trip. We have been friends through cyberspace and via the phone line but nothing like meeting someone in person.

Big Bear, when Schawee wants a shake, he gets a shake. He got a key to Burger Delight. They even reserve a room for him if he wants to spend the night.

Will holler back soon.

JP...if you were taking a different route home, you could swing by here and try your hand at a Tennessee deer. (We have good primers lol) I'm assuming that you probably traveling I-85 home though right?

well,  I guess he's got that one on me.  Zestos won't give me no keys for after hours.

that's ok, the anticipation makes it taste all that much better.

Packed up and ready to roll. Heading out in a few minutes. Got a long drive back, took 13 and 1/2 hours getting here!

Iddee, thank you, thank you, thank you for your hospitality!

We've been very good acquaintances through cyberspace and our phone conversations but meeting you in person sealed the deal for me friend.

Call you later on my friend.

Thanks again,

Just walked in the door a little while ago. Took 13 and 1/2 hours getting there same back. Could maybe have cut it to 13, but that's pretty much driving straight through with just a few gas stops and one food stop.

BTW, I discovered a new drink to keep me up called Java Monster. Its coffee and energy of some type added to the drink. It gets you going without the jitters those red ball drinks give you.

Thanks again Iddee!

Hey JP. I once drove 36 hours straight stopping only for fuel and would grab something to eat on the road when I was getting the fuel.

That was from Madison, Wisconsin to Idaho Falls, Idaho.

Longest I have gone with no sleep is a little over 120 hours.  tongue

Well, to say as much as possible in as few words as possible, I'll just say we had a ball. JP is the type of person that is just SOOOOO easy to be nice to. My wife is threatening to adopt him.

JP:

Don't know if you noticed, but I stickied this at the top of the Coffee House Forum - interesting topic and kinda stays on topic. I like the idea of a roaming post that is fairly open ended in topic - this is a good one, thanks Smiley

Monster makes several different flavors. Java, Mean Bean, Mocha, Chai Lai, and several others. They don't seem to have the 'crash' after effects like a Red Bull does. Ya'll not have 'em in the swamp?

K9, I usually don't go for such drinks but I needed a little something extra for the extensive driving I did on this past trip to and from North Carolina.

I didn't want one of those bolt type drinks so I happened to get the monster drink, they sure go down smooth.

Those other drinks are hard to get down and they always gave me the jitters.

We do have the java monster drinks down here. I had the loca mocha and mean bean.
