Biscuits are in the oven. Country cured ham on the stove. Me and Will (my 4 year old) watching old westerns on the TV (The Rifleman, his choice, I like Gunsmoke). Getting ready to work on Brad's (my brother) tractor and play farming (Will's choice). Wife is in California. We are truly blessed.

Liz and I are going to a reptile show in West Wego, Louisiana, maybe coming back with some new critters!
Life has been very hectic/busy! My house is being raised, I will show pictures in a thread about that another time.

I was wondering how you were both doing with that house raising and all. Bet it has been quite a trip. I would be very stressed if I was being displaced.

i have not heard the term "house raising" in years. now it's "under construction". ah, for the good old days when you didn't have to get 20 kinds of permits and have 20 different kinds of sub contractors.....

"Nay, it [this constitution of government] must perish, if there be not that vital spirit in the people, which alone can nourish, sustain, and direct all its movements. It is in vain, that statesmen shall form plans of government, in which the beauty and harmony of a republic shall be embodied in visible order, shall be built up on solid substructions, and adorned by every useful ornament, if the inhabitants suffer the silent power of time to dilapidate its walls, or crumble its massy supporters into dust; if the assaults from without are never resisted, and the rottenness and mining from within are never guarded against. Who can preserve the rights and liberties of the people, when they shall be abandoned by themselves? Who shall keep watch in the temple, when the watchmen sleep at their posts? Who shall call upon the people to redeem their possessions, and revive the republic, when their own hands have deliberately and corruptly surrendered them to the oppressor, and have built the prisons, or dug the graves of their own friends?

But this is predicated upon the person's becoming in every facet an American, and nothing but an American...There can be no divided allegiance here. Any man who says he is an American, but something else also, isn't an American at all. We have room for but one flag, the American flag...We have room for but one language here, and that is the English language...And we have room for but one sole loyalty and that is a loyalty to the American people."

Sitting at the hospital waiting on 7 am to roll around so I can leave work! My grandpaw talked his neighbor into giving me his hive of bees and equipment for a quart of honey! Pretty good deal if you ask me. Going to pick them up and bring them home tonight!!

Good morning! 5 oclock is 5 oclock no matter what the day of the week is. Coffee tastes the same... necessary! I got the roll of #8 hardware cloth I ordered yesterday so I'm going to start on the trap out cone for my first trap out today. Its going on a house on my mail route that has bees in an exterior wall. I told the lady I would do a cutout when I had time but doesn't look like time is on my side. The house is due to be bulldozed by MDOT for 4 lane construction but not for another year or so. I asked her if she had the patience for 6 to 8 weeks or so to do it and she said "they're your bees do what you want to". So I stopped this week and took a video of the entrance area to have a reference for what I might need to set up. I'll be getting all that together today so I can get over there as soon as I have a day off. The wife and kids are at her family reunion over in Louisiana so I'm skipping out on church today but I'll be speaking to my redeemer soon on my morning walk around the beeyard and blueberry field. Sounds like my 3 Jack Russell's have something cornered outside. Hope it's not another copper head. I better go check. Ya'll have a good day. Jeff

Ahh, Copperheads, such beautiful snakes! Picked up six scorpions and a gigantic blue tongue skink at the show yesterday. My wife became the hit of the show walking around with the skink, you would have thought she was part of the exhibit as everyone and I mean everyone came up to her ogling and wanting to pet the magnificent beast! The scorpions are Emperor scorpions and are pretty docile, they just like to walk around on you while spreading their pinchers. They eat crickets and superworms. Their sting is reminiscent of a bee's sting so the guy said. I said no problem I get stung all the time by them. Uploaded with ImageShack.us...JP

Just got home to do paper work and payroll and back everything up tonight to ride 4 wheelers and camp this weekend. And during all this I have to go pick up my wife at the airport, back from taking silver at the Jiu Jitsu Worlds in LA. She comes home as me and the 4 year old leave.
