This recipe is what I would use for 6 working men to: "Get the day started with a full stomach". Please feel free to adjust it to suit your needs.

1 loaf of 2 day old Italian Bread.
Trim off the crust and cut into 3/4" slices

1 dozen fresh eggs (large)
1/2 cup fresh whole milk
3/4 cup raw honey
1 Tbs ground Cinnamon

Beat the eggs, milk, honey and cinnamon together to form a batter and soak the bread slices in it until they are saturated and fry them in some bacon grease or vegetable oil over medium heat until they are set and browned on the outside.
Serve with a pat of butter and a side of bacon, sausage or ham.
You won't need any Maple Surple but you can use it if you want

I know you think you understand what you thought I said I meant but what you heard is not what I said.

change it from italian to brioche, add a little bit of vanilla bean, and you might be onto something. ok, you are clearly already onto something, but still the additions would be good to try. you can also add a bit of almond extract, or brandy or other, and of course you have a slew of other things like strawberries, wild berries, nuts, whipped cream,etc...or even making stuffed...omg...I'm going on like bubba talking about shrimp....sorry.

p,s: and 'yes' my gf knows how lucky she is to have a man who cooks like i do, in case anyone was wondering, she tells me it all the time....and who also has bunches of blueberry, raspberry, strawberry, rhubarb, blackberry, fruit trees and full gardens.  Wink
