I have a nuc that succumbed to the SHB. So, about 4 frames of larva invested nastiness. I dont have a way to freeze these. Wont fit any anyone's freezer that would be willing(lots of us run on small propane fridges off-grid).......Im I destined to just destroy this comb or is there some other way? thanks for any ideas....

Blow torch. It is nasty, but cook all the jokers on each frame. Then you can clean the frames up later.

"In the first place, we should insist that if the immigrant who comes here in good faith becomes an American and assimilates himself to us, he shall be treated on an exact equality with everyone else, for it is an outrage to discriminate against any such man because of creed, or birthplace, or origin. But this is predicated upon the person's becoming in every facet an American, and nothing but an American...There can be no divided allegiance here. Any man who says he is an American, but something else also, isn't an American at all. We have room for but one flag, the American flag...We have room for but one language here, and that is the English language...And we have room for but one sole loyalty and that is a loyalty to the American people."
Theodore Roosevelt 1907

I have washed them out good and placed them in a STRONG hive. They will clean them up. Personally, if you cannot freeze them, I would destroy them.
Steve
Place them in an ant bed for clean up?

yes, i went with the chicken method. They loved it. entertained them for hours and it was kinda funny to see a perfect imprint of a chicken foot in the wax. will just dump the left over nasty wax at the land fill and start over. its too gross to even melt down. mahalo all......

I think a video of some hens cleaning up frames would be most entertaining.

I just lay them in the sun till they die then flip the frame over. You have to watch the frames or they will melt. My truck flatbed or an unused pallet work fine. It's sadistic but fun.
