No chickens..it's Cobb county and we are not allowed to have them.  Ironically you can in Fulton county which is metro Atlanta but not 20 miles north of the city.

I thought you could have yard birds (not cooped) if you had so many acres in Cobb.  (I know of chickens in Cobb. )  Here in Paulding they can not be cooped unless you have 5 acres.   But they can run loose on 1 acre.

I think it is 2 acres or more to have chickens in Cobb.

Can not be cooped? I just don't understand this free range crap. I grew up on yard bird and yard bird eggs. We almost always had a dozen or so laying hens and would put up a couple dozen fryers a year and not a single one of them were free range. Free range to me means predator bait. It was hard enough keeping the varmits out of the coops without sending the birds to them.

When they are cooped, it falls in there with a chicken house.  40,000 on a neighborhood is a bit much.  12 running around as coyote food is not that much.  I guess.
