This was a very interesting removal. The bees were in a side tank that is part of the cooling system of this engine. We had to remove the top plate to access the colony.

They were a little bit pissy, just enough to warrant protective gear for most of the removal.

Stay tuned for part two, you won't want to miss it, there's a nice little surprise in there.

Oh, and Schawee was an HOUR late this morning.  grin

I hope we get some close up of the hair cut.    grin   And the reason nobody ran for the ice cream truck, I think they may have had shakes for breakfast. 

JP, with such a late cut out, do you ever pull frames from good hives to put in with these newer hives to help them through the winter.

I love watching your videos!  I had to laugh when Shawee bent down to look inside the tank from the bottom and JP started smoking the heck out of it from the top!  Poor Shawee!
