No mountain lions here yet...but I ran into a mountain lion when I lived in Kansas City area. We were trail riding our horses and it tracked us for about 10 minutes. We must have come close to its den. Did not see it but it was screaming at us from behind (we were in dense woods). It was all we could do to keep the horses from bolting. Cat and animal lovers that we are, when the horse camp ranger told her boyfriend to go shoot the cat, we said, "Yeah, shoot it! SHOOT IT!" Nothing like the fear of death to turn one into a realist. Made for a great story, though.

Cougar is a white meat when it is cooked. And the taste depends on how you cook it. Out here when they made it illegal to hunt with dog's the cougar and bear population exploded.

You are soooo baaaad!  lau

Y'all aren't serious about eating cougars/mountain lions, are you? Sounds terrible. Course then again, I hear kittens are a delicacy in some countries.

Billy Joel reminds me of a cross between Elvis and Conway Twitty in that video.

 applause  applause

Conway Twitty looks like grandpa's living room with Lawrence Welk permanently affixed to the TV screen. Death metal version would have sent grandpa into conniptions! If only.

Thanks for starting my day out right!

....Yep....gettin' old....I sure am!!!..Feels like I havent been in here in MONTHS!!!
Oh, wait a minit......Uhhhh..I havent!!!
But...I do know that gettin' older really does mean getting wiser( most the time)...I mean, I still do stupid stuff all the time..but nowadays, I KNOW I'm doin' stupid stuff when I do it!
I,ve been cussed once and flipped off twice in the last year and I didnt do anything about it! Never used to be that way!
I drive slower sometimes too( at least, in my eyes...) and i dont get worked up when somebody passes me! I used to take some one passing me as personal..Not any more.
As far as the bees go....I'm afraid of them stingin' me!!!...They DONT like me anymore1!!..Used to be, I could tend to them naked!!....20 stings were nothing...now, if I get stung, its usual over a hundred stings at a time!
And, Like Irwin says.....The pharmacy( another sign of aging..) girls call me "Mr"!!! I call them "HOT!"""....After I think about it, some of them could be my daughters!!!..And, The older ones Still look "HOT!"
Get 'em Irwin!...Might take both of us to hold just one down for a kiss nowadays!
I also find that,Fast food better be fast food...If its not, I have no problem making  snide comments about slow service and walking out. I also gripe about when something costs too much...I used to just "Suk it up!"
My son, Brad, just moved out...and, we were just starting to get along...he started drinkin and smokin weed...and I felt there was some aspect of growin up on his part going on there. we even talked about what he was up to!...and I liked him!!! Now, he's gone and I miss him..there was a time I didnt even like him!..Now, I feel too old to hang with him!
and, you know what? I figured all this out just sitting here!! Talk about the time flyin' by!!!
your friend,
john

Back in the days.....when I was in the Army I used to address female officers as, ie, "Yes, Captain, ma'am, sir!"  Figured that way I had all the bases covered.

Brian Bray!!!  You always have all bases covered, go man go!!!

Well, Sir JP, guess that is gonna have to be your new nickname (kind of reminds me of Sir Drake, remember him?  The other, much nicer drake).

Johnnybigfish, so nice to hear you chime in, and I still have horror memories of you talking about thinking of working your bees in the buff, oh man oh man, some scarey stuff goin' on there.  Time flies, tiime flies.  Now over a month since Sir JP began this post of the thoughts of how quickly time and days pass, what a great one.  Wonder if it will pass the number of replies that the one about eating healthier did, smiling that big smile  cool  beautiful days, love those days, more beautiful days to come, Cindi
