I like watching dirt track racing at the local track and hitting the hot tub at the end of the day.

i either blow stuff up with a little gaming, go shooting, or, my preferred method...go to the mountains with my horse. the last is weather dependent. the second is getting expensive.

"Nay, it [this constitution of government] must perish, if there be not that vital spirit in the people, which alone can nourish, sustain, and direct all its movements. It is in vain, that statesmen shall form plans of government, in which the beauty and harmony of a republic shall be embodied in visible order, shall be built up on solid substructions, and adorned by every useful ornament, if the inhabitants suffer the silent power of time to dilapidate its walls, or crumble its massy supporters into dust; if the assaults from without are never resisted, and the rottenness and mining from within are never guarded against. Who can preserve the rights and liberties of the people, when they shall be abandoned by themselves? Who shall keep watch in the temple, when the watchmen sleep at their posts? Who shall call upon the people to redeem their possessions, and revive the republic, when their own hands have deliberately and corruptly surrendered them to the oppressor, and have built the prisons, or dug the graves of their own friends?
– Justice Joseph Story, "Commentaries on the Constitution of the United States," Volume II, Chapter XIII: Mode of Passing Laws, Sections 900-901, pp. 364 (1833)

Sit quietly and smoke...and recall that today, I have 13 months and 3 days until I retire from Uncle Sam's Kanoe Klub.

I don't. I stay wound-up all the time. I can't help myself. I just seem to get sucked into things.

I took a day off of work today... And did a cut out with Bruce Schawee. Seriously, it was a mercy removal, so neither one of us got paid for an all day of it, but we had a ton of fun and I felt like it was a day off. Oh and I love to fish and hunt, and eat. ...JP

i got bored with drag racing and golf so now i just hang around the house, fold an AK now and then and work the yard. seems like everything i get into gets effected by political or economic 'issues' sooner or later so i figure the best bet is enjoy the property, dogs, chickens and bees.

I unwind by keeping bees, racing pigeons, using my ham radiio, working around my mini-farm, making the wife angery by answering the question she's asked 12 different ways the same way each time, and going to the doctor.

Hey Brian you forgot to add sleeping 48 hrs at a time. Is that where you've been? ...JP I've been known to sleep as much as 72 hours straight thanks to narcolepsy and sleep apnea. I have to take medication to stay awake or I might sleep forever. I call narcolepsy the Rip Van Winkle disease. But when I'm not sleeping I keep when they get loose. to keep warm, from FedEx, UPS, & USPS, tend to my and in my spare time I get on my where I
