Looks exactly like the way the Nisqually Indians described Sasquatch to my father when he was a boy.  Particularly the long red body hair.
They used to say:  "Sasquatch hyas skookum, hyas oput.  Kopa Sasquatch hiyu nika stillicum, hiyu stillicum, kopa Sasquatch makook nika tatoosh missimust."  Which means if Sasquatch comes to your village, move village, for Sasquatch will make your woman his slave.
