i can't find the old draft version of the small arms treaty.  it used to by on the UN site.  pretty sure they are not starting over, but i guess the need a fresh copy to share with us.

here's a small sample of what is available.  the committee stuff, often done outside the UN, is the most interesting.  you can do searches and find all kinds of advisory committees to the UN on all kinds of subjects.  EVERY ONE  will be a far left group.

http://www.un.org/disarmament/convarms/ArmsTradeTreaty/html/ATT.shtml

"import, export, and transfer"  transfer?  does that mean sales?

then there are a bunch of these.  who wouldn't want to limit nucs, right?  but almost all of these discussions also include conventional arms.  the UN list small arms under conventional arms. doesn't matter if it's an M16, a rocket launcher, or a .45.

this has telecommunications mentioned for the sake of the international security.

anyway, theres tons of this stuff on the UN site.  most of the language is vague, but if you understand the people it's not to hard to understand the goal.
